European Sandboarding Championship - SANDSPIRIT 2025
The sandboarding challenge on Mount Kaolino (Germany) maintains its essence to bring together sandboarding and snowboarding enthusiasts.
From July 10th to 13th, the city of Hirschau, Germany, once again became the epicenter of European sandboarding with the second official edition of the European Sandboarding Championship. The event brought together riders, families, and enthusiasts at the iconic Monte Kaolino facilities.
A spirit that transcends borders
This competition stood out not only for the technical level of the participants but also for the sense of community that defines this sport. More than a competition, SandSpirit is a celebration of the sandboarding and snowboarding spirit, where respect, inclusion, and fair play prevail over rivalry.
For four days, children, youth, and adults shared the slopes, campfires, and laughter, reaffirming that sandboarding is a way of life that breaks with the conventional and unites people of all ages and cultures.
Competition and camaraderie
The championship included three main disciplines: duel slalom, boarder cross, and water slide, each with its own technical challenge and visual spectacle. The days were filled with recreational activities, live music, and the already traditional “Grill & Chill,” as well as a classic Fondue offered by one of the Swiss riders, turning the campsite into a place for gathering and friendship.

A bridge between Europe and South America
While Monte Kaolino hosted the continent’s best riders, preparations are already underway in South America for the official South American Sandboarding Championship, which will be held in the dunes of Antofagasta, Chile. This event, organized by Club Sandboard Desierto Extremo together with the National Sandboard Association and supported by InterSands, aims to strengthen cultural and sporting exchange between the two regions.
Since 2017, with the Sandboard World Cup, InterSands has promoted cross-participation of riders from both continents, consolidating a global community that meets year after year on the sand. This has resulted in South American riders participating in Europe and European riders in South America.
So, are you ready to be part of SandSpirit 2026?
The invitation is open to all sandboarding and snowboarding enthusiasts. Age and skill level don’t matter: if you carry the spirit of sandboarding or snowboarding in your heart, Monte Kaolino awaits you next year to experience something unforgettable.
