The dunes of Chile witnessed an electrifying conclusion to the South American Sandboarding Championship, Organized by the Extreme Desert Sandboard Club, the Chilean Sandboard Association in cooperation with InterSands and the Municipality of Antofagasta, where top athletes from across the continent competed in four thrilling disciplines: Slalom, Sandboardcross, Big Air, and Best Trick. The event showcased the growing popularity and talent of sandboarding in Latin America, setting the stage for international representation.

As part of the closing ceremony, organizers announced the two South American riders who earned a prize to travel to the European Sandboarding Championship — SandSpirit — to be held in mid-2026 at the iconic Monte Kaolino dune in Hirschau, Germany and to date, they will be the South American ambassadors in Europe with the aim of adding more representatives.
